| 内容記述 | This study examined the loneliness data collected in TV Program “NHK HEART NET TV”. In the program Web pages, the Loneliness Scale (Moroi, 1992; 1993), questions regarding descriptive characteristics, and self-labeling questions related to personality characteristics were administered to the Web page viewers (N = 35,268). The statistical analyses of loneliness data indicated that loneliness is one-dimensional. Interestingly, the respondents living alone did not show scores high for loneliness. Ordinary usage of “Hitoribocchi” was discussed from the perspective of the cognitive discrepancy model for loneliness (Peplau & Perlman, 1979; Moroi, 1995). | |||||
