| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study is to examine the teaching of multiplication in elementaru schools. First, I explain the mathematical definition of multiplication given by G. Peano, and consider some treatments of multiplication at elementary school level. In the second grade, children are required to understand the meaning of multiplication and utilize it. following this, I introduce a lesson study conducted regarding he teaching of multiplication in second grade. Thereafter, I consider useful practices for teaching the meaning of multiplication in elementary schools. | |||||
