| 内容記述 | The present study explored the relationship between readinessforparenthood cultivated by adolescence and anxieties about abusing their own’s among female undergraduates. The ReadinessforParenthood Scale（Nishida & Moroi, 2010）and the AnxietiesaboutAbusingown’sChild Scale developed by the authors were administered to female undergraduates（N＝249）. The factor analysis（maximum likelihood method, promax rotations）of the ReadinessforParenthood Scale indicated four factors : Concern for the child and baby, positive expectancy of a parental role, father as a role model, and anxiety about parenting in the future. By the cluster analysis（Ward’s method, squared Euclidean distance）for the AnxietiesaboutAbusingown’sChild Scale, four clusters appeared : Violence, indifference, neglect, and intimidation. The covariance structure analysis showed that, as predicted, readiness for parenthood inhibited anxieties about abusing own’s child. The significance of the research was discussed from the point of view of motherhood. |
