| 内容記述 | This study described how minor programs in the Department of Representatives at Doshisha Women's College of Liberal Arts, which was newly established in 2009 when the English and Japanese departments moved from Kyotanabe to Imadegawa campus, were recognized and registered, and taken by students majoring in English and Japanese. For that purpose, a questionnaire developed through discussion among three researchers after several revisions and follow-up interviews were administered. Participants for the questionnaire were 283 female college students representing both departments, and 10 of them also participated in the interview. The results showed that the minor programs offered good academic stimuli as well as apportunities for the students to expand their personal view and friendships. At the same time, however, it was found that the students need more registration support to complete the program and that more detailed and planned announcements to students are necessary to attract more participants to the program. | |||||||||
