At the time, botany thought new parts of plants that was undeveded by Chinese and Japanese herbalist. Utagawa Youan introduced the form of botany from Europe. He transelated the words for parts of plants using terminology for animal parts, such as ransou 'overry', ena 'afterbirth', hozo 'navel', hozo-no-o 'navel sting'.
