The Court deemed this law as a violation of free speech, which is secured by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.\nThe purpose of this study is to analyze judicial precedents and theories concerning restrictions on books, movies, etc. that are considered harmful for minors.\nThe first chapter of the paper describes the regulation of obscene expressions and of offensive material for minors in the United States. The second chapter describes and analyzes a legal case, Brown v. Entertainment Merchants Association.
