Firstly, we investigated the components of cafes in Kyoto. As a result of an investigation of 144 cafes, we found that the cafe facade was composed of 6 elements ： \"Opening\", \"Wall\", \"Appentice\", \"Lattice\", \"Plants\" and \"Advertisement\". Secondly, we conducted experiments on the subjective evaluation of the effect of the components of cafe facade on the evaluation of cafes using facade pictures. Subjects evaluated the 5 evaluation factors, \"Clarity\", \"Enterability\", \"Restfulness\", \"Regionality\", and \"Fascination （General evaluation）\". As a result, the evaluations on \"Clarity\" and \"Enterability\" were higher, as the size of opening was bigger in both Japanese-style and Western-style cafes. In addition, \"Regionality\" was higher, as the size of opening was smaller in Japanese-style cafes.
