But, this decline shouldn't be interpreted as people's indifference to music. Attitude and behavior of listeners of music are changing, compatible with the progress of IT society. To examine Anderson's (2006) long tail model, the data for compact audio discs sales was analyzed. The relationship between compact audio discs sales and the yearly ranking showed the long-tailed distribution, supporting Anderson's hypothesis.
