月横浜に到着した。京都での看護実践や教育の開始はそれから約７か月後のことであった。本稿では，彼女自身の回想記やアメリカン・ボード宛ての書簡などから，アメリカでの看護キャリアから異国の地日本での宣教看護婦の道を選択したL. リチャーズの思い，そしてアメリカ出発から京都へ至る足跡とその間の日本体験を探った。\nL. リチャーズは，来日してすぐに京都には留まることはなく，その年の夏まで，個人付き添い看護や伝道活動で上海や岡山などに赴き，アメリカン・ボードの宣教師ネットワークの中で宣教看護婦としての役割を少しずつ果たしながら過ごした。この間の経験は，彼女の抱いていた宣教看護婦としての夢と現実の狭間で，喜びを感じつつも戸惑いと苦悩の連続であったことがうかがえた。この年の秋の始まる頃，彼女は京都の地でいよいよ看護実践と教育を開始することになり，彼女はアメリカとイギリスで長年培ってきた看護キャリアをやっと発揮できる時がきたことに安堵し，期待をもって取り組んでいったと思われる。あわせて，来日してからの様々な体験を通して，日本という文化の中で，新たな挑戦となった宣教師としての使命をどのように果たしていくのかをより鮮明に実感し，医療伝道の進め方を模索していたと推測された。","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10002_description_6":{"attribute_name":"内容記述","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"資料","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_10002_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.15020/00002352","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_10002_link_30":{"attribute_name":"著者
