Schools need to work on improving the development of emotional intelligence. However, previous studies have not examined changes in students’ emotional intelligence through interventions related to the teaching methods used in physical education classes. Therefore, this study introduced the ASKS model with mixed-gender heterogeneous teams into a dance unit in the first year of junior high school with the aim of examining how this class would affect students’ emotional intelligence. A baseline unit without the ASKS model intervention and an intervention unit with the ASKS model were conducted in five physical education classes for first year of junior high school students. In order to test the effectiveness of the physical education class with ASKS model, a formative evaluation of friendship-building and a survey of emotional intelligence were conducted three times, once before the baseline unit and before and after the intervention unit. Students who participated in the three surveys and responded to all items (formative evaluation of friendship building: 312 students, emotional intelligence: 320 students) became the subjects of the analysis. As a result, the following two points were found, although it was a case study of one school grade level. First, the physical education class with ASKS model and mixed-gender heterogeneous teams stimulated students’ collective and cooperative engagement. Second, it enhanced emotional intelligence equally for both genders regardless of gender differences., 論文}, pages = {104--117}, title = {生徒の情動的知能を育む体育授業の検討 : 中学校第1学年のダンス単元を対象として}, volume = {39}, year = {2022}, yomi = {ウメガキ, アケミ and シライ, アサコ and フルヤブ, ナオキ} }
