Since this school is a technical college, English teachers can conduct English classes once or twice a week. In such a situation, the author has felt the limits of what she can do in class, so she has begun to think about what out-of-class learning should be. The out-of-class learning assignments were carried out in the latter half of 2020. The participants were 80 firstgraders and 23 third-graders. Also, this note clarifies the advantages and improvements of the out-of-class learning assignments including creating a graphic organizer through interaction with students. The author explains two things: students’ feedback and creating a graphic organizer to find the advantages and improvements. Students’ feedback reveals issues and improvements in the assignment: the author should have shown students various kinds of graphic organizers when she explained about the assignment, and it is not appropriate to give the assignment of creating a graphic organizer in every section. The author explores changes and ingenuity in student output by looking at the actual graphic organizers. Finally, this note proposes that these findings will be put to good use in developing classes at Osaka Prefecture University College of Technology and studies at a graduate school of Doshisha Women’s College from spring 2021., 研究ノート}, pages = {131--145}, title = {読解内容のグラフィック・オーガナイザー作成を含む授業外学習課題の実施:学生とのやり取りを通して明らかになったこと}, volume = {56}, year = {2021}, yomi = {マツイ, ユウカ} }
