I compared C-test data with those of Vocabulary Levels Test (hereafter VLT),Vocabulary Size Test (VST),Productive Levels Test (PLT),Word Asociates Test (WAT),The 7th version of Oba's Standard English Grammar Test of (EGT) and reading (RCT) and listening comprehension tets (LCT). I obtained the following correlation coeffcient between C-test and the other seven testsmentioned above: r =.62 wilh VLT,=.50 with VST,=.65 with PLT, =.50 with WAT,=.62 with EGT,=.61 with RCT,=.71 with LCT. Although such standardized tests as TOE1C or TOEFL exhibit high validity and reliability in measuring examinees' English proficiency, it takes a great deal of time and money to sit for them. Although C-test does not match either TOEIC or TOEFL in validity or reliability, we can give C-test for only ten minutes and il is quite easy to prepare. I completely agree with Dornyei & Katoa's (1992) evaluation of C-test ""not only as a reliable and valid meaasure of general language proficiency, but also as one of the most efficient language testing instruments in termns of the ratio between resources, invested and measurememet accuracy obtained.}, pages = {39--61}, title = {Cテストの英語能力測定度 : 語彙力、文法力、読解力および聴解力テストとの比較}, volume = {49}, year = {2014}, yomi = {モリナガ, コウジ} }
