          <dc:description>The membership of the Japanese Music Therapy Association reached 1,631 in 2008, and various forms of music therapy are being practiced, targeting a diverse population of clients. In recent years, as music therapy has been increasingly recognized, improvement in the quality of music therapists has become an issue. In this regard, supervision is an important tool in supporting the clinical practice of music therapy, but such a system for providing supervision has not been fully established in Japan as of yet. This article discusses aspects of the system focusing on its necessity and examines the present situation through case studies and analysis.</dc:description>
