同志社と看護：京都看病婦学校第二回卒業生不破ゆうの足跡 Doshisha and Nursing : Following the footprints of Yu Fuwa, a second generation graduate of the Kyoto Training School for Nurses 岡山, 寧子 オカヤマ, ヤスコ 岡山 オカヤマ 寧子 ヤスコ open access Yu Fuwa, a second-generation graduate of the Kyoto Training School for Nurses, married Tadajiro immediately after graduation. Around the time when she began her life in a new place, she unexpectedly attended to Niijima as a private nurse until his death, with sheer dedication and putting into practice all that she had learned from L. Richards. Her experience of nursing Niijima became a source of pride for her, which helped her throughout her life. Thereafter, she raised her family in Kyoto, was involved in the management of hospital nursing, and contributed to the development of her alma mater by leading a campaign for its preservation.
