台湾における長期介護サービス法施行以降の外国人介護労働者の動向 Current Directions of Foreign Care Workers in Taiwan : Implications for Long-Term Care Policy 宮本, 義信ミヤモト, ヨシノブ MIYAMOTO, Yoshinobu foreign care workers in Taiwan Long-Term Care Service Law midrange-skilled foreign personnel application/pdf AA11325308-20220220-18 The purpose of this article is to present detailed information about the recent trends and current working condition of home-caregivers from Southeast Asia who work in Taiwan, and discuss Taiwanese government policy regarding them at this turning point. The elderly population in Taiwan is estimated to reach 38.2％ in 2055, surpassing that of Japan. Currently, there are about 250,000 migrant long-term care workers, with 92.8％ of them being home-caregivers. Almost all of them are beginner level care workers. With the enforcement of the Long-Term Care Service Law in 2017, the working environment of home-caregivers has started to undergone significant change. The law aims to expand community-based home care services, and envisions the institutionalization of the Long-term Care Insurance Law in the future.
